Attending the University of Diversity, you will learn components of diversity and being an inclusive manager/person. We will use diversity as an acronym and examine our unique values. Here’s the University of Diversity acronym outline:
- Differences –Through knowing, respecting, and appreciating our differences we increase our self-esteem and grow in our profitability.
- Individuality – We have unique talents and gifts to explore and to celebrate.
- Value – Our differences and individuality bring value to our personal and professional relationships, such as knowing a second language.
- Empathy – When we are uncomfortable with others; remember when others may have been uncomfortable with us.
- Respect – No matter, if we do not understand someone or fully appreciate their experiences, we can respect each other.
- Similarities – While we celebrate diversity, we should celebrate our similarities, too.
- Inform and Inspire – We should provide information about diversity and inspire others through our diversity.
- Truth –Be wise in our diversity and education.
- Yes! Be affirmative and positive in diversity. Develop an awareness, an acceptance, and an appreciation of diversity. Just say yes!
